In light of Rick Ross’s medical emergency, I wrote some thoughts concerning his soul and the rap game. I’m praying that he would taste the rich forgiveness of God and submit to the Biggest Boss. Check it out!


When will we learn to embrace sleep as a friend and not an enemy? With the setting of the sun every evening is yet another reminder that we are in need of rest. Just like the routine mapped out for my son every evening, God has established a routine in creation. Sleep is not to our detriment it is for our benefit.


Even with all the glitter and lights surrounding church planting, it is still no easy task. Edward Leach in an article from the Sword and Trowel written in 1869, honors those men who pursue the call to plant churches no matter the cost.

The state of masculinity has seen better days. With the bookshelves filling up diagnosing the problem to how-to books on recovering ones manliness, it seems like men have a long way to go. But sometimes, every once in a while I come across something, or someone, and in this case a video, that makes me proud to be a man.


Tim Keller said, “Vigorous church planting is one of the best ways to renew the existing churches of a city, as well as the best single way to grow the whole Body of Christ in a city.” Essentially, disciple making and church-planting go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other. Scott Thomas President of Acts 29 gives a snapshot of perpetuating nature of discipleship and church-planting.
